Certification & Trust Document

Every Aurlet piece is certified, hallmarked, and traceable. Here is exactly what that means.

What 'Certified' Actually Means

When Aurlet says a piece is certified, it means one specific thing: the gold purity of your jewellery has been physically tested by an independent, government-approved laboratory and stamped with an official mark confirming what it is.

It is not a brand promise. It is not marketing language. It is a government-backed verification system called BIS Hallmarking  and every solid gold Aurlet piece carries it.

BIS Hallmarking, Your Purity Guarantee

BIS stands for Bureau of Indian Standards, India's national quality authority, under the Government of India. BIS Hallmarking is the official system that certifies gold jewellery purity in India. It has been mandatory for gold jewellery since 2021.

Mark on the Piece What It Means
BIS Logo (Triangle) Confirms the piece has been tested and certified by a BIS-approved centre. This is India's national quality mark.
Purity / Fineness Number The number stamped on your piece e.g. '585' means 14KT (58.5% pure gold), '417' means 10KT, '250' means 6KT. This is the exact purity of your gold.
Assaying Centre Mark The identity of the government-approved lab that physically tested and stamped your piece.
Jeweller Identification Mark Aurlet's unique BIS-registered code. Confirms the piece is from a certified, accountable source.
HUID Number Hallmark Unique Identification, a 6-character alphanumeric code unique to your specific piece. No two pieces share an HUID. This is your piece's individual identity number.

Every mark listed above is physically stamped or engraved directly onto your jewellery piece not just on the certificate. You can see and verify them yourself.

What Karat Means, Purity at a Glance

Karat (KT) tells you what percentage of your jewellery is pure gold. The rest is a carefully chosen alloy usually silver and copper that makes the piece stronger and more suitable for daily wear.

Karat Hallmark No. Pure Gold What It Means Best For
6 KT 250 25% 25 parts gold, 75 parts alloy Hardest, most durable
8 KT 333 33.3% 33 parts gold, 67 parts alloy Strong, everyday pieces
10 KT 417 41.7% 41.7 parts gold, 58.3 parts alloy Popular daily-wear choice
12 KT 500 50% Equal gold and alloy Balanced look and value
14 KT 585 58.5% 58.5 parts gold, 41.5 parts alloy Warmer tone, higher value

Lower karat gold is NOT lesser gold it is harder, more scratch-resistant, and better suited for daily wear. Higher karat gold is softer and richer in colour. Both are real. Both are valuable. The right choice depends on your lifestyle.

Your Certificate of Authenticity

Every Aurlet purchase is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity. This document is specific to your piece it contains your product's HUID number, karat, gold weight, stone details (if any), and purchase reference.

Keep it safe. It is your proof of purity and is required for any warranty, exchange, or future valuation.

Our Commitment to Transparency

Aurlet does not sell gold-plated jewellery, gold-filled jewellery, or gold-tone jewellery. Every piece sold under the Aurlet name is solid gold — meaning the entire piece, from surface to core, is made from a genuine gold alloy.

We believe every customer deserves to know exactly what they are buying. That belief is not a brand value statement — it is the reason this page exists.
